Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of Big Brother Naija, has countered the notion that Nigerian youths cannot perform their right to vote while watching entertainment shows like BBTitans.

He mentioned this at the BBTitans press conference held by MultiChoice group in Lagos on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

According to Ebuka, the thought process that Nigerian youths cannot multitask oversimplifies the minds of these youths.

“I think young Nigerians are complex enough to understand that they can watch something when they want to and go out when it’s time to vote.

“I don’t agree that anything can distract you when it’s time to perform your civic duties. People have registered to vote, people have their PVCs, elections are going to hold, and people are going to go out to vote. It shouldn’t stop the world,” he said during the press conference.”

BBTitans is set to show from January 15 – April 2, 2023, alongside the Nigerian general elections, holding on Saturday, February 25, 2022.
