Rappers who have been dabbing both amapiano and hip hop have been under a lot of criticism for their lack of respect for the rap culture. Taking to Instagram, A-Reece took a swipe at rappers expressing his hatred towards rappers who no longer respect rap as a form of art.

The Revenge Club Records boss questioned rappers who consider themselves artists every time they think of trying another genre outside of hip-hop. “I hate how rappers don’t even respect rap as an art form. Why does “I want to be considered as an artist” always follow with them making some sh*t from other genres,” he wrote.

A-Reece is well-known for saying things as they are without beating around the bush as he aims to inspire other young artists. Towards the end of last year, the rapper and his brother Jay Jody and their friends launched Revenge Club Records. The rapper made it known that they are creating a hub for up-and-coming artists who are aiming to become big in SA hip hop.

In his address, Reece stated that artists must work hard if they want to be in the same position as him. “If you really want to see yourself in this position you have to work hard,” he said.

“I feel like we as Revenge Club Records wanna inspire up-and-coming artists to wanna create their own record label as been as opposed to being inspired to just wanna be an artist at Revenge Club. We want to inspire people to think bigger than that and think to themselves and say you know what I can do what they did because that is what we told ourselves and here we are now.” He said.
