AKA Shares Trailer For LEMONS (LEMONADE) Ft Nasty C. It’s been a long since AKA has dished out new music for SA hip hop and at most his Megacy fanbase. The rapper has been dealing with personal issues following the passing away of his fiance Anele Tembe, but he is now back to what he is well known for.
The award-winning rapper is in full motion to release his first-ever album since 2018 when he offered Touch My Blood. Building up to the album release Mass Country, Super Mega has announced the release date for the lead single LEMONS (LEMONADE) featuring Nasty C.
Taking to Twitter, the Congratulate hitmaker shared the trailer for LEMONS (LEMONADE) for his fans to get a glimpse of his new sound. “L2LVid AT MIDNIGHT 🍋🥤… Ⓜ️EGACY ASSEMBLE!!! https://youtu.be/BfYW8N2RNaM,” tweeted AKA.
Since his last offering, AKA’s fans have been waiting impatiently for the rapper to release new music; now that it is on the way, the anticipation is growing. During the interview on Sobering Podcast, Super Mega revealed the type of sound that his followers must expect. He further made it clear that they should expect a different sound from the previous one as he explained how his sound resonates with most South Africans.
“You know, we got some new sh*t out, so I got a new album it’s called Mass County,” he said. “So the whole thinking behind it, so when I decided I wanna make a new album was actually the mourning, so I’m sitting there with my dad and I got a little speaker there and one thing that calms me down is listening to the music that my father used to play when I was young and a lot of that it’s country music.”
“Then I decided man I wanna make a country album, so I started on the journey and I started thinking what would the country be in a South African sense, so it probably be KZN, the midlands, Maskhandi you know,” he added.
“As time moved on, I started to understand Mass Country to define how my music is super South African, super patriotic and for everybody, it’s for the mass, it’s for the masses of the country, its Mass Country,” said AKA. “Then I started thinking what can I put in it, then I decided to let me bring my house sample here, let me bring the musicians here and start putting it all together.”
