BBNaija: Eloswag gets serious warning from organisers over ‘Obedient-themed’ hoodie
A housemate of the season 7 of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show has gotten into a bit of trouble with the organisers who have revealed that politicking is prohibited during the show as well as political or religious discussions and expressions.
The revelation comes in reaction to one of the show’s contestants, Eloswag’s ‘obedient-themed’ hoodie that stirred controversies on Thursday. The housemate, whose real name is Eloka Nwamu, went viral after a photo of himself showing the backside of his hoodie with the ‘be obedient and useful’ inscription surfaced on Twitter.
The “Obedient Movement”, mostly identified with the Nigerian youths, is a trend towards the actualisation of the presidency of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour party. According to online publication, TheCableng, an insider within the reality show’s production team revealed to its reporters that Eloswag has been cautioned. They were quoted as saying, “Politicking is prohibited. We encourage the housemates to avoid political or religious discussions and expressions, and the housemate in question has been cautioned.”
