Big Xhosa Explains The Meaning Of “Almost Time” Art cover Concept In Extensive Detail. There is no doubt that Big Xhosa rocked the SA hip-hop scenes during his cameo with his Ninyile diss track. The rapper has not been taken seriously following his diss track. The tides seem to be turning in his favour after dropping his first-ever body of work “Almost Time.”
The rapper has been making waves since a few days ago after he dropped his first-ever body of work. But prior to that, the controversial rapper appeared on Gigi Lamayne’s POV Podcast interview where he unpacked his experience in SA hip hop and his recent project.
Despite the fact that Big Xhosa was able to secure collaborations with well-known artists such as AB Crazy for his project, the art cover is what drew the most attention to it. The Almost Time art cover conveys a sideshow impression, which Big Xhosa has transmitted to the SA hip-hop community in terms of his identity.
Speaking to Gigi Lamayne, Big Xhosa went on and revealed the meaning behind the concept of his EP art cover. “The meaning behind the Almost Time concept is that I’m at a stage in life where I feel like I hustled and get myself where I am, but I’m not really where I am yet, so it’s almost time, so this is the phase before we become something bigger,” he said.
Explaining the art cover Big Xhosa said; “the reason I’ m in a toilet, I’m in a sh*tty place you know and I’m holding a VOGUE magazine wearing fur, the VOGUE and that fur they represent soft life, quality in life things but im in a sh*tty place.”
“I’m holding the WWE Champion it means even though im in that sh*tty place im still winning in life you know, I still get access to nice things in life even though im in that sh*tty place,” he said. “So after we are done sh*tting, it’s almost time before I’ m done sh*tting.”
“After I’m done sh*tting I’m out, you know when you’re done sh*tting you don’t stay in the toilet you get out of the toilet and then you close that chapter, and we move on to bigger things. So I feel like this is a step to getting to a better place,” he explained.
