Cassper Responds To Claims He Slept On “AMN” Album & Left It Hanging. Cassper Nyovest has been a pivotal figure in South African hip hop, and his discography reflects why he was named “Artist Of The Decade.” The rapper-turned-businessman released his fourth studio album A.M.N (Any Minute Now) in 2020 after a two years hiatus from releasing albums. 

Cassper Nyovest‘s Any Minute Now contains a little bit of everything. The rapper puts his detractors in their place and self-introspects over a wide spectrum of musical styles boom bap, trap, kwaito, and jazz touches. With all the different types of styles and sounds in the body of work, some of his fans feel like he did not put much effort to push the album.

Taking to Twitter, one of Cassper Nyovest‘s followers gave the rapper praises for the work he did on the album. However, Mufasa was also called out for sleeping on the project and not putting much effort to release music videos on many of the songs. “@casspernyovest you slept on AMN, man you did magic there and you left it hanging. Your verse on thoughts cm on,” read the tweet.

Cass defended himself, explaining that he didn’t sleep on the project but that he exceeded the marketing budget so couldn’t make more music videos. The rapper however made it clear that the album is still alive and the music will never expire because it’s good. “I didn’t sleep. We had exceeded our Marketing budget. Couldn’t shoot more videos. The album is also still alive cause people talk about it everyday. Music doesn’t expire, especially is it’s good.”

Cassper hasn’t been releasing much music recently. The rapper said that he no longer has anything to prove because he has accomplished so much in the industry. “Nah, I’ve done my thing, if there’s guys who still don’t rate me, it’s on them. No more points to prove, raps, music, hits, money, business, whatever man. I’m that dude FR OVERALL. Those who don’t see it yet, will never ever see it and that’s okay. Next chapter.” Tweeted Cassper.
