Don’t boil eggs like this anymore.

Dangerous Egg Boiling Mistakes People Don’t Know About

While boiling eggs may seem simple, many people make common mistakes without realizing the risks.

This combination is quite dangerous. Tea contains tannic acid, which, when combined with the protein in eggs, forms a compound that slows intestinal movement, causing constipation, fatigue, or even poisoning.

Boiling eggs for more than 15-20 minutes can reduce their nutritional value. Overcooking causes the iron and sulfur in eggs to combine, lowering their health benefits.

If you add water during boiling, this can cause eggs to crack. The cracked shells make it harder to peel and may introduce bacteria, reducing the egg’s nutritional value.

Many love soft-boiled eggs, but eating undercooked eggs increases the risk of bacterial infections like Salmonella, resulting in diarrhea, digestive issues, or food poisoning.

Boiled eggs should not be left overnight because they can harbor harmful bacteria like E. coli, which can lead to digestive issues or food poisoning. The CDC lists eggs as high-risk for foodborne illnesses.
