When the first episode of Flawsome premiered at the official premiere of the Showmax Original drama series on Thursday, November 10, 2022, one thing it highlighted was the need for a community.

Enado Odigie, Sharon Ooja, Tola Odunsi, Busola Tejumola and Bisola Aiyeola at Flawsome Premiere.

While speaking during the Q and A session, Bisola Aiyeola, one of the lead cast, mentioned that while the viewers are watching the show, they would see the importance of meaningful, close-knit friendships.

“No one has the formula for life. I think these awesomely flawed women just hang on to their friendship, and it’s that friendship that keeps them going. So to whoever is watching, it’s kind of important that they have close-knit friendships where they can draw inspiration from, and I was very happy doing this with my best friend Sharon.”

Sharon Ooja, a lead cast in the series, agrees as well as she revealed that the amazing friendship they portrayed on the show translated to the ladies’ set life as they became sisters.

“Flawsome, first of all, showed us that you can have amazing friends, a closely knit circle that would genuinely support you without judgement. If I were to project my real life there, I filmed with two of my best friends and it was amazing, and the support was amazing.

“Set life was genuinely amazing. We were like sisters. If our director brings food we would wait and eat together, If we were frustrated, we used to gang up and be frustrated and gang up on him together.

“So, women genuinely support women. I don’t think all women are bad, that’s a huge projection. Pick your circle of like-minded people and you would succeed. That’s what Flawsome had.”

Flawsome is a 13-part drama series that follows the lives of four friends, Ifeyinwa (Bisola Aiyeola), Ramat (Ini Dima-Okojie), Ivie (Sharon Ooja), and Dolapo (Enado Odigie), as they navigate their personal and professional lives bound by the flawed yet unbreakable ties they share.
