The passing away of AKA did not only rock South Africa and Africa at large, but The Supa Mega had become a global phenomenon. Kiernan Forbes was shot dead in Durban and the news of his death was hot off the press all over the world.

The 10th of May marked three months after AKA was assassinated and most of his Megacy fans are still coming to grips with the rapper’s passing. American rappers Lil Durk and J Cole released a new song titled “All My Life which has rocked streaming platforms hours after its release.

In the wake of Lil Durk’s track, J Cole‘s verse has captivated South African listeners. Following the passing of AKA, American rapper Bas who is a close ally to J Cole reflected on how AKA welcomed him every time he come to South Africa. The rapper sent words of condolences to the people of Mzansi after he heard of the news.
