Jalang’o’s baby mama Cheptoek Boyo has opened up about her private life revealing that has been practising celibacy for the past two years.

In a tell-it-all piece on a local daily, the mother of one said that she started practising abstinence from sexual intercourse after she took a break from dating.

“I have been practising celibacy for months now, although it was not my intention. I had taken a break from dating and after six months, I started researching celibacy. Almost two years into practising it, I’m not in a hurry to barge,” she said.

Boyo explained that the self-induced dry spell gives her clarity and that now she even doesn’t want to ‘share’ her body with anyone else.

She added that steering clear of intercourse has helped her weed out men who just want to ‘harvest her’ – revealing that such people usually flee when she tells them she is celibate.

Sexual cravings, alcohol

Jalang’o’s baby mama further explained that she has been able to control her sexual cravings by taking very cold showers and practising mind control.

“What do I do when my body starts acting up, you know what I mean right? Well, a cold shower helps but I have also been able to tame my mind, once I decide I’m not going to think about it my mind shifts.”

Apart from practising celibacy, Boyo also disclosed that she stopped drinking – claiming that she has been sober for the past seven months.

“I also took a break from alcohol. I started drinking while in college and was an occasional drinker but on my birthday last year, I decided to pause. I started seeing beautiful changes in my body; I lost weight, my skin became smoother and I was spending less. Right now I’m seven months sober,” she said.

Marriage

Even though she is celibate and single, Jalang’o’s baby mama noted that she had not ruled out settling down in marriage altogether.

She however stressed that she would rather be single than miserable in a marriage.

Boyo also talked about her daughter Salika who was fathered by Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o.

She said that she gave birth at 22 and that she found it hard to adjust to motherhood given that she was still young at the time.

Boyo advised people to plan before having a child, saying that “raising a child is expensive”.
