Rapper Karimi Muriungi alias Cashy and her baby daddy Khaligrph Jones are embroiled in a bitter child custody brawl that has played out in public.

Khaligraph’s management recently revealed that the rapper sued Cashy while responding to her latest round of accusations on social media.

“Our artiste filed a suit in court against Ms Cashy Karimi in February 2022 at the Milimani Magistrate’s Court. There are interim orders issued by the Court stopping Ms Cashy Karimi from publishing details of the minor involved, the case or the parties therein; which she is now clearly in contempt of,” the statement from the management read in part.

Khaligraph’s estranged baby mama while responding to his management’s statement said she has been in Nairobi since July 14, 2022, for the hearing of the case.

Cashy revealed the hearing of the case filed by Khaligraph at the Milimani Magistrate’s Court was postponed because the file went missing last week.

“We have been waiting for the said access case since 14.7.2022. Patiently waited for a hearing that was postponed because the file went missing last week. As we wait for the next date, is it fair for the child to be out of school? This is painful and traumatizing for the child and the mother considering the aggressive parties benefit from her ‘silence’,” a post on Cashy’s Insta Stories read in part.

Before Khaligraph’s management issued the statement, Cashy had narrated her frustrations with the rapper in a series of posts.

“What is the point of asking a child to travel to Nairobi to attend a better school, and then go silent on the child’s arrival? Why have the child and his mother stranded for almost two months, with no interest in the access asked for? Cashy wrote in part.

The mother of one said that her son Xolani has been out of school for the past one term and a half after his father suggested that he changes schools from Mombasa to Nairobi.

“What’s the point of having a child out of school for a term and a half, while all others have reported back; despite the mother being in compliance and following all necessary methods, with limited means?” Cashy posed.

“Why give such unfair conditions, in order for the child to be in the suggested schools? What’s the point of delaying a legal case internationally and threatening the mother with arrest… constantly? the rapper lamented,” she added.
