Megacy Maintains AKA’s Stance On Music Awards Following Metro FM Awards Nominees

Following the recent Metro FM Awards nominees, the late Kiernan Forbes has been nominated in six categories which are Song Of The Year, Best Video, Artist Of The Year, Best Collabo, Best Male and Best Hip Hop Artist.

AKA’s Metro FM Awards nominees have triggered frustration amongst his vocal and relentless Megacy fanbase. The Megacy have made it clear that they will not be participating in the music awards since AKA did not show any value or respect towards awards ceremonies.

Taking to Twitter, one of the fans retrieved one of AKA’s tweets where the rapper explained why he no longer submit his music for awards. In the tweet, the late rapper stated that he no longer believes in the concept of awards hence the reason to withdraw.

“Megacy. Please stop attacking the SA Hip Hop Awards. I didn’t submit. For my own personal reasons, I no longer submit for awards shows because I no longer believe in the concept of awards. The greatest reward or award is you rocking with me and my music. I wish them all the best,” tweeted AKA.

Personally I am currently busy with my “responsible” mourning, I won’t be participating in this. But your’ll streamers have fun though ✌🏽.#RIPAKA https://t.co/o7nevj8pS2

AKA’s fans are currently fighting for the rapper to get justice after he was brutally killed in Durban along with his friend Tibz. The police have reportedly arrested five suspects whom they believed might have had a hand in the killing of Kiernan Forbes and Tebello Motsoane.

The reported suspects were released on Wednesday night after their lawyer argued that the police had no reasonable cause to arrest her clients. “The police had no reasonable cause to arrest my clients. They allowed the narrative of my clients being linked to the AKA investigation and didn’t comment at the time. Then yesterday, they issue a statement,” said an angry Van den Heever as per IOL.
