“My daughter, nephews get bullied in school because of me” – Singer Davido reveals (Video)

Nigerian singer and music executive, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about the negative impact of his fame on his children and family.

During a recent episode of the ABtalks podcast, Davido admitted that while he enjoys the advantages that come with fame, it has had a number of negative impacts on his loved ones.

Davido revealed that his children, particularly his daughter and his sister’s children, have been subjected to bullying from their peers simply because they are related to him.

He further shared that his sister had to change her children’s schools at some point due to this reason.

In his words;

“I would be lying if I said I don’t like fame, but it has its good and bad parts. I can get anything I want, but it becomes stressful because it affects the private aspect of my life and my family.

You see, my sister had to move her kids out of school because people knew they were my nieces and nephews. It was weird how people treated them, so now they are in different schools. And when people find out they are related to me, things get crazy…

Even my daughter was getting bullied in school just because she is my daughter. So fame has its good sides, but it also has its bad sides.”
