NET Honours 2022: Ikorodu Bois Beats Mr Macaroni, Sabinus to Win ‘Most Popular Comedian’
Comedians and skit makers Ikorodu Bois have emerged the winner of NET Honours Class of 2022 ‘Most Popular Comedian’, beating Mr Macaroni, Basket Mouth, Taaooma, Broda Shaggi, and Sabinus to hold the prestigious data-based award.
NET Honours recognises achievers in the entertainment industry through a thorough analysis of online audience search, consumer interest, social media interactions, and search trends on Netng’s website and social media platforms.
The youngsters, Ikorodu Bois, who began sharing parody versions of trending videos on the internet in 2017 through their social media platforms, had garnered many fans for their creativity and ingenuity over the years.
At the beginning of the year, the internet sensation Ikorodu Bois recreated the inspiring ‘We Move’ Television Commercial to inspire a revolution for 2022. They have also done replica videos of DJ Cuppy, Davido, Funke Akindele, and Senator Dino Melaye. In April 2021, they featured in a Netflix Oscar Weekend Film Brand Campaign, which was on display at Time’s Square in New York City.
Speaking on the objectives of NET Honours, Femi Falodun, CEO of Info Digital Africa (ID Africa), owners of NETng, Neusroom, 234Star, and Orin, shared,
