Ugandan singer Pallaso has been barred from performing at Purple Party London Edition.

This comes just days after an old video of Pallaso punching fellow musician Alien Skin surfaced online.

Pallaso can be seen striking and slapping Alien Skin while restraining him against a wall to keep him from fleeing in the viral footage.

The two Ugandan artists were scheduled to perform together this weekend at the Royal Regency in London.

Alien Skin expressed his displeasure and explained that he was not ready to share a stage with someone who assaulted him.

Pallaso Speaks

Pallaso has taken to his Instagram page to inform his fans that he had been cancelled from the much-anticipated show.

“Hello my people in London, a decision has been made to cancel my performance at the Purple party in London. While I recognize that this news is disappointing, I hope you can understand and respect the decision just like I have. I apologize to those who have made special arrangements to attend and support me. This uncertain last-minute cancellation has tested me and my team but we are still strong,” he wrote in part.

“I have been through the worst, and it always gets better. Thank you to all the Promoters that have reached out to reschedule new London dates for me and my people to meet on another great day. I will communicate in case we have anything confirmed. Asides that please go out and support the rest of the performers. I am sure the purple party in London will still be amazing. Thanks,” he added.

The event organizers issued a statement saying the singer’s violent actions are the fundamental problem.

“The organisers of Purple Party London Edition, which is slated to happen this Saturday, June 24th, at the Royal Regency Hall, would like to inform Ugandans in London that musician Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso will not be performing at the party due to unforeseeable circumstances that have been raised by the Management of the venue, following the vicious saga he got involved in with fellow artist Alien Skin in Kampala a few weeks back. We kindly apologize for the inconvenience caused by this development.”

Pallaso apologises

In a past post in May, Pallaso went online to issue an apology to his fans and Alien Skin.

The Ugandan hitmaker claimed that he was under pressure at work, which was one of the reasons he savagely insulted Alien Skin in a video that went viral on Monday.

“Hello my dear fans. I am sorry for losing my temper last night. So many things happened off the record and I was under a lot of pressure at work, but that’s no excuse for my behaviour,” he narrated.

“I love you and will try harder not to let my frustrations get the best of me next time. I’m very sad and I’m really, really sorry that I wasn’t able to handle the situation differently and better,” he added.

“For my brother Alien Skin, I am also really sorry. Darkness can’t extinguish darkness, only light, and I should have known better. I take full responsibility. I am sorry,” he noted.

In retaliation to the beating, Alien had taken to his social media to threaten Pallaso.

“The war in on!”, “I am a ghetto boy 100%! Knuckle ku knuckle!” and “Pallaso will pay heavily!” He warned.

It is unclear what sparked the incident, but Pallaso claimed, without evidence, that Alien Skin had come with 150 individuals to attack him.
