Priddy Ugly Weighs In On His Problem With BET Cypher

One of the well-decorated rappers who took part in the BET Cyphers was Priddy Ugly. The rapper received praise from his fans for delivering a decent performance. Despite the praises for his Cypher performance, Priddy Ugly took to Twitter and airs his grievances towards the BET in regards to the just-ended Cyphers.

Priddy complimented BET but stated that the producers of the cypher needed to improve as they kept using the same rhythm for many performers. He suggested that the organizers must explore localized producers.

“S/O to BET, but my biggest issue with the Cypher is the fact that we got so many fire producers in SA & they had 3 different groups of artists rapping on a basic remake of ‘Pushin P’. Let’s get some local producers to make 3 dope beats next time, that’s how we build the culture,” he tweeted.

Priddy Ugly is not the only South African rapper who had issues with the producers who were running the beats at the BET Cyphers. Lucasraps is another rapper who has publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with his Cyphers performance. As he apologized to his fans, the Durban rapper had to make amends with a new delivery.

“To my fans, just had to let you know that what y’all heard on the @BET_Africa cyphers wasn’t the level. Idk who at @BET_Africa let that slide but ye that sh*t wasn’t . But here you go guys, since @BET_Africa flopped me.” Tweeted Lucasraps.
