Touchline Truth Reacts To Missing Out On SA Hip Hop Mixtape Of The Year Award
Touchline Truth Reacts To Missing Out On SA Hip Hop Mixtape Of The Year Award. The SA Hip Hop Awards have come and gone, and the entire process has elicited a range of emotions among die-hard hip-hop aficionados.
With all the reactions towards the famous awards ceremonies, it was a close contest with most of the new school rappers coming out with the prestigious awards of the night. Some rappers walked out with smiles on their faces, which cannot be said for other rappers who did not win the award they were gunning for.
Taking to Twitter, Touchline Truth is one of the rappers who were in the doldrums as he expressed his feelings after missing out on the Mixtape Of The Year Award. “Thank you to everyone that supported me this year. I’m sorry I couldn’t bring it home, it happens, it happened. goodnight,” tweeted Touchline.
The rapper was facing competition from A-Reece, Priddy Ugly and Skhanda World. Even though Touchline’s Soon 2 had attracted most of the SA Hip hop fans and performed well on music, Skhanda World’s Welcome To The Planet proved to have the cutting edge. The Mixtape had more weight considering it featured some of the big-name rappers in the game, with the likes of AKA, Nadia Nakai and Cassper making the cut.
Despite missing out on the Mixtape Of The Year Award, Touchline also missed out to get his hands on the hip-hop awards after missing out on Best Remix Of The Year. The rapper featured on DJ PH’s Serious Remix with various artists but Mash Beatz’s Never Ride Remix walked away with the honours.
Even though Touchline didn’t win any accolades this year, the rapper is still promoting his songs. He just released the Deluxe Edition of Soon 2 (A Better Year). The initiative has garnered enthusiastic support from his fan base, but it remains to be seen if he has what it takes to take home the award next year.
